URL Encoder / Decoder
Percent-encode URLs and query strings, or decode them back. No account, no upload, no limit.
Output appears here.
Component encoding escapes / and ? — use whole-URL mode to keep them.
Component versus whole URL
Encoding a whole URL turns :// and ? into escape sequences and breaks it. Use component encoding for a query value, whole-URL encoding only when the URL itself is the payload.
The three characters people forget
&, + and # all change meaning inside a query string. A literal plus is often read as a space, which is why search terms break.
Double encoding
If a value is decoded twice by mistake, an encoded %20 becomes a literal space in the wrong place. If a link works in one tool and not another, check for double encoding first.
