An independent directory of free tools, maintained by hand.
FreeTool.site is a small directory of free online tools. It is not a search engine and it is not a review portal with hundreds of pages. It is a working list: the tools that ended up being used again after the first try, grouped into five practical categories — AI, web and development, e-commerce, image and media, and file conversion.
The list is short on purpose. Every entry has to earn its place, and a tool that stops being usable is removed rather than kept for the sake of volume.
Each candidate is opened and used for a real task before it is added. The test is deliberately unglamorous:
Listings are descriptive, not promotional. Where a tool has an obvious limitation, it is mentioned in the description rather than left out.
Two entries run entirely in your browser: the password generator and the JSON formatter. Nothing you type is transmitted anywhere. For anything involving credentials or internal data, a local tool is the safer default, and those two are marked accordingly in the directory.
Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you click through and later subscribe to a paid plan, the site may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not influence which tools are listed, how they are described, or the order they appear in. The full explanation is on the affiliate disclosure page.
The site does not sell placement, does not accept payment for a listing, and does not publish sponsored reviews.
Tools change their pricing and their free tiers constantly, and a directory like this decays quickly if nobody watches it. If you find a dead link, a tool that has gone fully paid, or a description that no longer matches reality, tell us — corrections are usually applied within a few days.
FreeTool.site is run independently by a small team that builds and maintains web tools. It is not affiliated with any of the products listed. Questions, corrections and removal requests go to contact@freetool.site.
